Factors that Affect Liposuction Recovery Time

There are many factors which will influence the liposuction recovery time.

There is the patient’s age, the medication given pre and post surgery and most importantly the medical condition of the patient before and after the surgery.

Liposuction is a simple procedure, sometimes taking as little as 30 minutes, when fat is extracted from certain areas of the body by inserting a thin hollow cannula and vacuum aspirating it.  The cannula is inserted through very tiny incisions usually made in such places where they are not easily visible so as to avoid scarring in post-surgery period. However this can be extended to weeks and even months if in the meantime one develops infections, blood clotting or similar complications.
